Men

A few weeks ago I went to an antique store with one of my brothers-in-law. W and I had a great time and while we were there he was looking for a bag to take to college. Although we found some cool army ones they just weren't what he was looking for. The other day I stumbled across this site on etsy and thought these messanger bags might be cool for an art student. The site is called SugarLust and messanger bags aren't all they carry.

This toothy bag is pretty cool. And it looks big enough to carry all W's loot.

I really like birds in design and this one is a crow so it would be okay for a guy...right?!

I think my other brothers and b-in-law's would really like these ties. Teacher, banker, engineer..these ties fit all their jobs.
I think the two college b-in-laws would like these ties, too.
I said I liked birds and this is the perfect little change purse. It's so cute, dont' you think!? But not for one of the brothers...for me.

Vintage

There is just something about great vintage dresses that is so amazing. I found this great site on etsy that sells beautiful vintage clothes.

My Favorite Vintage sells dresses and some shoes. But the dresses are all amazing. Just look at these.

Look at the detail on this dress. They don't make them like this anymore.

MMMM...Pockets!

This is just too sweet for words.

Amazing. What else can I say?

Love the full skirt and the green velvet trim around the neck. So pretty.

Hudson

Lately Hudson has been begging me (and by begging I mean destroying the old ones) for new toys. And how can I say no to that face? Just look at it. Any chance that I can skip going to PetsMart or other pet stores is also great. So for all my pet loving friends here are a few cool sites.

BestFriends General Store has some great toys (and other stuff). With Hudson we need something without a squeeker, otherwise he ends up eating it, durable and with enough room to hold onto without being too close to the teeth (he loves tug of war). Both of these look like they would work great.
Here is a great way to make your own Rope Toy from peices for fleece. I may try this.

Waggintails is another great site for all things pet related.

Finally a new store called Tart's and Berry's. These bungee bones also seem pretty durable and might live up to the Hudson challange. Have a good Tuesday

Blah it's Monday

It's beautiful outside but I've got a bad case of the Mondays. I'm completely uninspired today. Not sure why. Maybe it's the dirty dishes in the sink or the overwhelming pile of laundry or the weeds that are going to overtake my house at any moment. Oh well. I'm sure the inspiration will return tomorrow and I'll find something great to write about. I did find this beautiful print on etsy that is worth sharing.

It's by Munieca. Pretty, huh?

Quick it's almost here

Fall is creeping up on us at a rather quick pace. I know some of you hate the idea of summer ending (Mom) but I look forward to fall. It has always been one of my favorite seasons. I love the colors of the leaves, the jeans and sweaters, rugby games (the hubby started practice last night),football games, crisp air, carving pumpkins and the smell in the air. Fall is rivaled in my mind by spring. The one bad thing about fall is that it's followed by winter. Oh well. All good things must come to an end...right?! I thought I would start to show some of the clothes I am drooling over this fall.

I saw this jacket live and in person at Gap the other day and just couldn't keep my hands off of it. I won't be getting this (it's almost $300) but I think it's so great.
This Cowl neck sweater (also from Gap) is so fabulous. It could even be worn with a long sleeve shirt under it when it gets cooler.

One more outfit from Gap and I'll move on. Isn't this the greatest? Looks a little casual but add heels and you are off and running. And I think my pink alligator heels would be perfect! I guess for today I'll stay in the Gap family since they are so easy to shop together. Here are some favorites from Banana Republic. This is a perfect football game outfit.
I love the pop of color. And I already have these jeans.

I've decided for this fall I need a pair of everyday boots. I have dressy ones but not an everyday pair. Here are a few from PiperLime that caught my eye.

I like the brown and black together. The brown actually runs up the entire back of the shoe.

The idea of a small heel is appealing for everyday but now that I look again these might be a bit too dress for what I'm envisioning....but I still really like them.
I have no words. I just love these shoes. They are the perfect height, color, everything.
I like the chunky heel on this one. A little lift but easy to walk in at the rugby pitch.
The most casual of the group. Bet they are super comfy.
Looking back at the shoes I selected seems I have a thing for buckles. Strange. I should look at my other shoes and see how many of them have buckles.

More fall clothes next week. Have a nice weekend.

Baggage

The last time hubby and I went away for a weekend I realized our luggage is getting old. We aren't planning any trips soon but when we do I know the first place I will look for new luggage. It's called Get Ready Set Go. Look at these bags and tell me you don't drool.

Fabulous, right!?

Stationary is so fun

I was cruising Etsy again (my newest favorite hobby) and found another great stationary site. Her name is Tarahogan and the store is called INK + WIT.

Elephant post cards on recycled paper.

Sweet set of little bird notecards.

Cute peeking Owl Notecards.

And they do fun prints. Like this limited edition one.

Paper

I am not and have never been a scrapbooker. But I do adore paper. I use it in all my artwork and I just love seeing new and different papers. I already have way to much but I just can't help getting more.

Here are so great sites for papers. 7 Gypsies has tons of paper and other scrapbooking things (that I don't understand). My Gatsby is mainly a custom invitation store but they also sell amazing cardstock like this
I use cardstock for the mobiles that I make.

Then there is Paper Mojo. They have just about anything you could want in the world of paper.

Beautiful craft papers also make great wrapping paper for smaller gifts.

Wall Stickers again

How I love wall stickers. The more I see the more I like. Here is another site of stickers. The site is called Stick Meon. The stickers are much smaller than some of the other sites and oh so cute.

Girlie

I wasn't always into being girlie. In fact I spent high school and my freshman year of collage in giant jeans and baggie tops. It wasn't until I moved to Florida for a semester that I learned how much fun it is to dress like a girl. Here are some great clothes from the Frock Shop that appeal to the girlier side of me.

I think dresses with pockets are great. Then you can wear them and feel casual but look super cute.

Yum-o!

Girlie even when in jeans

With a cute white blouse this would look amazing.

Of all of these peices I think I need this one the most!

What a cute little jacket. One can never have to many jackets.
