Best way to start the new year

NEW SHOES...I would love to have some of these beauties to start off the new year. Too pretty. Here are my favorite new year shoes from Coclico.

Almost boots. Love, love, love.

I don't have any shoes in this color. Think I definitely need these.
Bows make me sooo happy.

ADORABLE. I would wear these every day if I owned them.

I'm Back

Not sure how much I will be blogging over the next the next week during the holiday week but I'm back. I love my new computer (thanks Mom and Dad!)

Look at these beautiful glasses from Daydream Designs. I love the etching!

Happy to be back!

Just in time for Christmas my computer died...completely. Nothing could be saved. Thankfully I have the greatest parents ever and they bought me a new laptop for my birthday/Christmas. Unfortunately the Internet at my house isn't working so this is the first time I've been online in over two weeks. CRAZY. I feel like I've lost a limb...ha. I will be back to blogging soon but for now hope you are getting the holiday spirit of things. I wish I was able to be more helpful with present ideas. I will try soon.

Maybe you've decided you need a new rug for your home...but the traditional sizes just don't fit right. I have a room that the 8x10 rugs are too big for but the 5x7 just looks too small. Try out Rug Couture. You select every detail and can even upload your own images and print ideas and get quotes on a perfect rug. What a great idea! Why didn't I come up with this?

Even if you aren't going to buy a rug its pretty fun to play around with and design wild and crazy rugs. I especially liked trying to pick the perfect colors.

Some of the products that come out of Japan are so strange and funny. I love looking at Japan Trend Shop and seeing all the crazy things people are buying. If you need a strange gift for someone this year you might want to visit this shop. I am just going to copy the exact descriptions from the page and share them...they are just too good not to..

These feminine facemasks protect your mouth and nose during flu season or in dusty work conditions, but also make a great accessory for halloween. (I am definitely getting these..haha)

The Beauty Voice Trainer helps give you the dulcet voice you know you've always wanted, in just five minutes a day (I laughed when I saw this one!)

Change your look in a matter of minutes with the 3-piece Hair Contact Set from Propia. Forget about the time required to grow in a beard and the hassle of shaping and trimming with these easy to apply, professional quality hair applications (If you aren't laughing right should be!)

Longtime pets feel like part of the family, but in times of crisis, they can get skittish and hard to manage, endangering themselves and their owners. You can stop worrying, though, because the brand-new Pet Evacuation Jacket is here to get you and your pet to safety in fires, earthquakes, and other disasters ( I think this thing would make Hudson skittish! Imagining him in this is so ridiculous!)

Hope this made this dreary Monday a little lighter. I know I had a good laugh.

Are you like me and you are absolutely awful at remembering birthdays? I mean I am embarrassingly bad. When I do remember I tend to not have stamps or forget to put the card in the mailbox. Well Jack Cards is made for losers just like me. Go to Jack, enter all your important dates, select cute cards and they do the rest. When a date rolls around they address and send the card for you. What a great idea...why didn't I think of it?!
This Thanksgiving Card made me laugh!

Break-up card that are funny (the divorce cards are even funnier!)

Lovey-dovey cute cards

Pretty Birthday cards

There are cards for every holiday, anniversary, kids, funny and serious. I think this site is such a great idea. Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope it was a day full of love, family and way to much food!

Lydia Rose

Two girls I know recently started their own vintage store on Etsy called Lydia Rose Vintage. It is named after one of the sweetest little girls! Check out some of their great finds and see if you can spot sweet Lydia in one of the pictures (hint..she's wearing a hat)
Fun purse. Would be perfect for all those holiday parties that are fast approaching.
Cute glasses.

I seriously need a pink coat. Every coat I like is pink and I keep regretting not getting one.

I hate all the cords in my house just hanging there. I try to tuck them behind things or under things. But look what I found! This is an amazing way to make art out of your cords. Such a cool idea. I have to try it! Have a great weekend.

Book It

Are you planning a trip any time soon? Looking for a great hotel? Well give Room Atlas a look. Just type in the city you are visiting and it will give you a map with all the potential hotels based on cost. Then you can cut down the search by checking such things as breakfast included, kids activities, pool, pet friendly, etc. Then when you find a hotel that seems interesting you can book it from the site. Pretty nifty, huh?!

Mod Cloth has some amazing shoes right now. I am drooling. Most of my cute heels are for open toe or sandels so I'm always keeping my eyes open for closed toe cuties. And these fit the bill perfectly! Believe me it was hard to pick just these pairs. You have to go look for yourself.
What a great shade of gray.

A-Mazing! I would wear these every day. I love love love them.

CBD these are for you! They are your color and the heel isn't too big. Do you love them?

Okay so they're open toe but I don't care. I know some of you will think they are ridiculous (CM!) but I am in love with these shoes. With the right little black dress....sigh!

These look more gray here but I'm pretty sure they are black. Cute, huh?

If you have an artist in the family (or a crafter!) this would be the greatest present. You sign up at Social Designer for the a set of colored pencils and you receive 25 colors each month for 20 months...ending up with 500 shades of beautiful pencils.

Look at all those colors! I would want to display them like this one a wall they are so pretty.

If I ever go on a cold vacation (I would rather go somewhere warm! and beachy!) I want to go to Hotel Igloo Village Kakslauttanen in Finland. The Igloo village offers 31 first class "log cabins" where you can view the Northern Lights. I could definetly be persuaded to go somewhere chilly for vacation if this is what it meant!

I really like jewelry (as we have all learned) and lately I've really started to like brooches. They are not just great to pin on things but also on a chain to make a really cool necklace. And it's one more chance to wear something sparkley! I found a few I like on the Swarovski's site. See what you think.

Aren't they fun?

Have you always wanted the perfect, custom, one-of-a-kind glasses? Well if you have and have 595 bucks to spend on glasses this is your lucky day. Inivijual Custom Eyewear "crafts bespoke acetate frames using internet and snail mail-gathered info on everything from skin tone and facial characteristics to personality and lifestyle. Just lay down a refundable deposit, and you're sent a questionnaire asking for a galaxy of deets, some more plainly pertinent than others: from frame history/preferred colors/hair style to occupation/hobbies/car make & model; then, they'll mail you tools for skin-color analysis, mug measurements (face height/width, distance between pupils...), even a mold for your nose" Then several prelim designs are superimposed on your photo, you approve them and you get your new completely personalized glasses. Sounds like a cool idea to me. For those of us who don't wear glasses they do sunglasses too. If you order before January 1 you get $100 off. This would be a super cool Christmas present, dont' you think?

I like finding new ways to hang pictures. Sometimes you just can't find the perfect frame. Enter Plywerk. Send then your image and they print it on Fuji and Kodak silver-halide papers. Then using transparent PH neutral adhesive the mount it on on either a maple or bambo panel with a keyhole in the back for hanging. Make sense. Here are some pics to explain what I am not explaining well. And you can get the panels blank and do your own photo mounting.
Blank panels come in all different sizes.

This is the process I was trying to explain. Make more sense now?

Keyhole for hanging.

Picture mounted on panel. Such a cool idea.

The last 2 days have been gloriously warm but I know that's just to fool me into relaxing and then when the cold comes it will be even more shocking. I am not fooled mother nature! So I've decided to share some great gloves with you. I like scarves and hats and gloves. Like my shoes I enjoy having a bunch of different colors to choose from.

Check out these ruffled cuties from Banana Republic.

I like Gap's convertible gloves/mittens

Top Shop has some great options.

And as always Anthropologie makes me drool with their options. I would post ALL of their gloves but figured you can go look yourself (as it is I picked my top 4 favorites!). They are so pretty!

Who needs a new winter coat this year...just get a new set of gloves and a new scarf and it changes the look of the old coat completely.
