I'm Back

Not sure how much I will be blogging over the next the next week during the holiday week but I'm back. I love my new computer (thanks Mom and Dad!)

GRRR

Just in time for Christmas my computer died...completely. Nothing could be saved. Thankfully I have the greatest parents ever and they bought me a new laptop for my birthday/Christmas. Unfortunately the Internet at my house isn't working so this is the first time I've been online in over two weeks. CRAZY. I feel like I've lost a limb...ha. I will be back to blogging soon but for now hope you are getting the holiday spirit of things. I wish I was able to be more helpful with present ideas. I will try soon.

Are you like me and you are absolutely awful at remembering birthdays? I mean I am embarrassingly bad. When I do remember I tend to not have stamps or forget to put the card in the mailbox. Cords

I hate all the cords in my house just hanging there. I try to tuck them behind things or under things. But look what I found! This is an amazing way to make art out of your cords. Such a cool idea. I have to try it! Have a great weekend.

Just type in the city you are visiting and it will give you a map with all the potential hotels based on cost. Then you can cut down the search by checking such things as breakfast included, kids activities, pool, pet friendly, etc. Then when you find a hotel that seems interesting you can book it from the site. Pretty nifty, huh?!

Shoes

Mod Cloth has some amazing shoes right now. I am drooling. Most of my cute heels are for open toe or sandels so I'm always keeping my eyes open for closed toe cuties. And these fit the bill perfectly! Believe me it was hard to pick just these pairs. You have to go look for yourself.

Okay so they're open toe but I don't care. I know some of you will think they are ridiculous (CM!) but I am in love with these shoes. With the right little black dress....sigh!

Present

If you have an artist in the family (or a crafter!) this would be the greatest present. You sign up at Social Designer for the a set of colored pencils and you receive 25 colors each month for 20 months...ending up with 500 shades of beautiful pencils.

Look at all those colors! I would want to display them like this one a wall they are so pretty.

Cold

If I ever go on a cold vacation (I would rather go somewhere warm! and beachy!) I want to go to Hotel Igloo Village Kakslauttanen in Finland. The Igloo village offers 31 first class "log cabins" where you can view the Northern Lights. I could definetly be persuaded to go somewhere chilly for vacation if this is what it meant!

Brooches

I really like jewelry (as we have all learned) and lately I've really started to like brooches. They are not just great to pin on things but also on a chain to make a really cool necklace. And it's one more chance to wear something sparkley! I found a few I like on the Swarovski's site. See what you think.

Frames

I like finding new ways to hang pictures. Sometimes you just can't find the perfect frame. Enter Plywerk. Send then your image and they print it on Fuji and Kodak silver-halide papers. Then using transparent PH neutral adhesive the mount it on on either a maple or bambo panel with a keyhole in the back for hanging. Make sense. Here are some pics to explain what I am not explaining well. And you can get the panels blank and do your own photo mounting.

Warm

The last 2 days have been gloriously warm but I know that's just to fool me into relaxing and then when the cold comes it will be even more shocking. I am not fooled mother nature! So I've decided to share some great gloves with you. I like scarves and hats and gloves. Like my shoes I enjoy having a bunch of different colors to choose from.
