Wilmington

I am at the beach right now so blogging will be sporadic at best this week. But I will be back next week. Hopefully I will at least get to post a few times this week.

Pom Pom

I was helping a friend brain storm for party decoration ideas the other day and remembered seeing these great tissue paper pom poms on Martha Stewart. I think they are so fun and you can do so much with them.

Tools and Materials
•Tissue paper in desired colors (8 sheets per pom-pom), by Martha Stewart Crafts, available at Michaels
•24-gauge white cloth-covered floral wire
•Scissors
•Monofilament

Step 1
Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inch-wide accordion folds, creasing with each fold.

Step 2
Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.

Step 3
Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.

Step 4
Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure.

You can make any size you want and hang them from the ceiling in clusters. Such a pretty party.

Jewelry organized

I've realized that if my jewelry isn't in some sort of order and easy to see I forget I have it and it never gets worn. Right now my jewelry is hanging from any and all surfaces in my room. Mirrors, lights, everywhere. I found these really great options on Urban Outfitters and think they would help me get a little more organized.

Tree for hanging necklaces or bracelets on.

Wall organizer for rings and necklaces.

Mirrored jewelry box...so beautiful.

Shopping Spree

Seriously, I need to win the lottery, if only to indulge in my love for Kate Spade.

Look at these jeweled beauties.
I've been looking for the perfect shades for this summer and here they are.

This necklace is too beautiful.

I would end up wearing this shirt all the time. It is simple and classic yet so striking.

I think old typewriters are so cool. Look at this beauty from etsy.

I really like headbands. Look how beautiful these are from Bamboko

Answer to question

L.L. those boots are on Piper Lime under the 50% off page or the sale page. Here is the link. I know you are all thinking "It's JUNE! no boots" but buying them now would be so smart because they are on huge sales.

Also here are some others that are part of the sale and are pretty great.
These beauties are only 29.99

Maybe you like Straps

Or Giant Buckles

I could do this all day. The easiest way to do this is to type the color of shoe you are looking for at top of the 50% off page and that will narrow the search considerable. Also the boots tend to be on the later pages of items for sale. If there are 15 pages of items go to the 15th page and work backwards. They tend to place things in the order they came out with the newest first and the oldest last. Does that make sense? Happy shopping ladies.

Noun

Noun...a Person's place for things is a super cute collection of fun stuff. Antiques and such. Little prettys for you home.

Beautiful canisters.

I love old books and old ledgers. I would use this for my art or as a journal.

Love old fans. Oh and I want the wallpaper in the background of all these pictures.

50% off

PiperLime is having a 50% off sale. Definetly check it out. Who doesn't need more shoes? I know I could always use a few more pairs (stop laughing NC and CDB!!!)

Why not get your boots for next fall now on sale for half price? I love these.

Adorable camel flats with a red buckle.

I've been wanting to get a pair of the gladiator sandles but haven't found the right pair. These may just be the ones. And they are bronze which I love.

I don't own yellow heels. These are great and would look so nice with a purple dress.

Arm Candy

I have started to really like bracelets. I was always more of a necklace and earing girl but lately I have had the desire to load on 10 bracelets and go. Okay, 10 might be a bit of overkill, I'll try not to do that. Here are some that I really like right now.

From Skinny Style (who by the way also has some AMAZING cocktail rings!!)

This pretty peacock bracelet from Charlotte Russe is only $4 which means I could afford to wear 10 of them.

Max and Chloe have this great stack of bracelets.
All the Rage has this pretty cuff.

Girl Props looks like a great site for cheap bracelets.

NYC 4

After walking around Union Square, EW took me to my new favorite store, Fishs Eddy. I could easily spend all the money I have in this place. I just wanted to buy presents for everyone I know. But since I was taking the train home I couldn't get much because it wouldn't fit in my bag.
Just look at this vintage glass. Don't you want one of each? I know I do.
The sign says it all.
I loved the pictures of the kids swimming on these cups.
I want my kitchen to look like this.
I wanted to take this whole wall home and give it to CDB. I could have stayed in this place all day.

I realized when I got home I didn't even get pictures of some of my favorite parts of Fish's Eddy so you'll have to check out the website for yourself.

NYC 3

A few more pictures.

We walked around Union Square and looked at the art stands. I actually ran into someone I went to high school (considering I came from a tiny town this is AMAZING)
The beautiful chandeliers in Grand Central
Grand Central and the Chrysler Building.
Bryant Park, where we had a great lunch (even if our waiter did ignore us)

NYC 2

Just a few fun photos of parts of NY. We spent between 2 and 3 hours a day walking around and seeing the sites. EW is a great tour guide.
Lovely EW in front of the fountain in front of the Plaza.
One of my favorite views in Central Park
The Plaza.
EW's phone needed some help so we visited the MAC store. These are the stairs you take from the street to the store.
On Broadway.

NYC 1

Last weekend I got the chance to visit my friend EW in New York City. It was even more fun that I imagined. I will take the next few posts to share some of my photos with you. We got to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Saturday. It was so amazing. Here are a few photos of my favorite parts.

Of course I loved the chandeliers in the America Section.
This is the front of a bank that stood in New York and now is inside the museum.
EW with some amazing statues. She's my favorite part of the museum.
Completely amazing stained glass window.
This is what you see when you enter the museum. How could you ask for more?
