I love to bake cakes. Actually, I just love to bake. But cakes are really fun and I think they are even more so when you have a great way display them, like a cake stand. I have 2 and they make the cakes looks so grand, even if it's just a box cake (which I love by the way) it suddenly looks like a party. Here are a few of my new favorites.

I don't have a square cake stand but I would love one like this one from Crate and Barrel
Every great cake baker needs a turntable to get the perfect icing. I like the cast iron one from Martha Stewart
If you are not going to be eating the whole cake in one evening or if you have to travel with the cake a domed option like this one from Sur La Table is a good idea
Ebay is also a great place to find antique options.

I have the bottom one. It's great because it can also be used as a punch bowl! Perfect!
made me hungry...the cupcakes look almost too pretty to eat...but i could try...especially if they were gingerbread!
