I often visit the Purl Bee website, especially now that I have a sewing machine (thanks to the hubby). They have great tutorials and ideas for sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting. I also love visiting their shop. Their pictures of their products are enough to make me drool.

They have patterns, sewing books and magazines as well. I am still at the sewing pillows and curtians (trying to get straight lines) but I hope to one day make clothes and quilts. We'll see how it goes.

Ooooh thank you for posting this! I've been looking for a great site to buy fabric to make a new bench cushion. Now I just have to narrow down my choices.... :)
I am learning to sew and I got a great book you may want to look into. SEW Sew Everything Workshop by Diana Rupp. It has really cool projects in it for a beginner. Goes from pillows to yoga pants, aprons, jackets..all cool stuff. Good luck!
