Chandelier

We have a room off of our master bedroom that will someday be the master bath. It is just storage right now but I like to imagine what it will look like all done. One thing I know is that I want a chandelier for over the tub. I love how sparkly and girlie they are.

I love this cute little lamp from Lamps Plus

This 1890's chandelier from Genuine Antique Lighting may not be sparkly but it is pretty amazing and I would love to own it.

I found this one on a site called Simply Chandeliers
Or I could go modern with a chandelier from Euro Style Lighting.

Oh the possibilities. I love imagining and redesigning.

Why oh Why

For some reason I love these pillows from Cat Studio. I guess its the embroidery and how colorful they are. As I get older I care less and less about matching and more about
"going". I don't like everything matching or the same. I like crazy patterns that might clash a bit but it makes you want to look more. I like when it feels like you can kick of your shoes and loungel. These pillows are perfect I think.

I wasn't a huge fan of my home state's pillow but I did live in Florida for a few glorious months and I really like this one.

Pictureless post

Today blogger has decided not to upload any pictures. I have tried and tried but nothing is working so I am giving up for the day. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow.

Serena and Lily

Some catalogs I actually like getting in the mail. Serena and Lily would be my most favorite. Their bedding is so amazing and they just started to make some of it in adult bed sizes. Oh please, I may faint. Each of their collections is named after child and they sell the paint, decorations and furniture to go with it. It is amazing and if I had a million dollars I would redo all my bedrooms. Look how beautiful.
This room feels like a vacation to me. Wouldn't it be nice to feel like that in your own bedroom? Tess is one of the four collections now offered in queen and king sizes.
Asher is such a classic look. It could be for a 3 year old or a 15 yr old. Beautiful.
I want these sheets for myself. Eve is such a great combo of the perfect pink and blue.

This was the inspiration for Baby G's nursery. I love the brightness and fun of blue and orange together.

Living a better life

I am not one for resolutions. I always feel so guilty when I break my resolution by the end of January. Instead I like to think of ways to live a better life. These are things that will hopefully make 2009 a better year than the last.
1. Grow my one veggies

No, it won't look like this and yes, it may be a huge disaster but I want to give it a shot. I did my own herbs last year and they grew really well. I want to try just a few veggies this year and see how I like it.

2. Do more craft shows. I had such a good time at the first one and I would love to do more. Next time I also want to be much more organized.

3. Finish projects that have been sitting around. I found 2 scarves that I started to knit 2 years ago and never finished. I finished them and gave them as Christmas presents and it felt great. I just found another half scarf and can't wait to get it done so I can wear it myself. I'll take photos when I do.

4. Throw more parties. Good food, good friends what could be better?
I love throwing parties but it is easy to get out of the habit. We threw dinner parties once a week for a while and I want to start doing that again. I love cooking for people and trying new recipes.

5. Romance my husband because he is lovely and deserves it.

6. Go places I've never been...even if it is just down the road
7. Take better care of me. Whether that means eating better, working out more, getting massages, taking long walks with the hubby and the dog or just drinking water I want to make sure that this year I take better care of myself. In turn I will feel better and be a better friend, wife, daughter and hopefully mother again someday.

Comfy

Someone asked me to find some cute slippers because, let's face it, most slippers are just ugly. Thankfully there are some places attempting to make cute slippers and here are a few of them.

If you want a bit more leg coverage these boots are cute from Aerie

These beautiful slippers by Simple Layaway are a bit expensive as far as slippers go but I feel like you could leave the house in them and not get weird looks for wearing your slippers in public.

I know that some people hear the word Crocs and groan but trust me on this they are as comfortable as everyone says. And these slippers barely look like Crocs.

Cableknit booties from American Eagle

Pretty flowered slippers by Crabtree and Evelyn

Cute woolie slippers from Mani Mina

Hopefully these will get you on the right track for cute and comfy slippers. You may notice I added a brand new playlist. Wanted some new music to start a new year. What do you think?
