Paper-y Goodness

Stumbling across beautiful stationary is so fun. If you saw my favorites list and counted the number of cool paper sites I have saved you might laugh. Apiary is one such site and one that I am excited to share. I can't post any of their photos so you have to check it out yourself. I really like the High Notes. Aren't they beautiful?
The second site I wanted to share is called Blonde Design I really enjoy the simplicity of their design.
Seriously beautiful.

In just a few short weeks I will need somethinglike this to announce the baby's arrival.

These are supposed to be thank you cards for a wedding but I like them as stationary for everyday. So pretty.

Have a great Monday.

So cool

Some days I need a little inspiration. I want to do something crafty but can't think of what to do. Well this site is the perfect thing for those days. It's called Lobster and Swan and they sell "estates" which are these amazing boxes full of crafty supplies. Check these out and tell me you aren't inspired.

Each of these for under 40 dollars.

Just the layout is inspiring to me. It's so beautiful. They also have mini-estates that are under 15 dollars. Craft away.

Beginners

My friend A. introduced me to this lovely little jewel of a book called Bend-the-Rules Sewing by Amy Karol

It has the cutest projects and they seem like they would be good for a beginner like me. When I get a sewing machine this will be the first book I buy. Don't know if I will be posting or not this weekend(hopefully I will) but I have so much to do to get ready for the baby and there is a huge garage sale I want to hit tomorrow and a rugby game and church (run on sentence). So in case I don't blog hope the weekend is great and sunshine-y like today.

Sick of birds yet?

I know I'm not. I can't seem to get enough birds right now. Did I ever mention that although I love birds in art I am a bit afraid of large numbers of birds in real life. Maybe its because of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, not sure. But they strike fear in my little heart. I have this feeling that at some point they will realize there are more of them than us and start attacking. Aren't irrational fears fun. Here are some cute, non-lethal ones from Etsy. By the way they all feed my other obsession...baby clothes.

Perfect for fall from very Kiki

Super colorful peacock shirt from Mountian Aven Baby

I feel like I could put this one from Urban Cheek on a little boy and not feel like my husband would ask why he was wearing girls clothes.

I think this post could go on for hours so I better quit and at least pretend to sleep. I've decided that I am going to do as much Christmas shopping on etsy as I can this year. I would rather buy from some hard working crafter on etsy than a huge company. Especially this year. Look around and see what you find. Maybe you'll want to do the same.

Organizing Rampage

With a baby on the way in 21 days I have so much organizing to do. I had 9 months to plan for my last child and organized like crazy. Probably drove the hubby a little mad. This time with only 21 days I have to be a super crazy organizer and think of everything I will need quickly. I found Stacks and Stacks and think I might need their services.

I know this shelf is supposed to be for kids but I think I might need it to plan my outfits.

Why is it that whenever you hear a baby is coming you think you need to clean the closests (or is that just me)? It something I put off and then hear about the baby and think "I'll never get to do this if I don't do it now". Completely silly but the way my brain works.

Excited, ecstatic, can't think of another e word

Starting now this blog is going to have more baby things on it. Still the regular stuff but just with baby things thrown in. Why you ask...well let me tell you. We are adopting a baby...in 22 days (or less)!!!! We have been going to classes for foster to adoption and the got a call about an infant adoption a few weeks ago. Yesterday we meet the birth mom and she liked us! I am completely unable to focus for long periods of time right now. So in honor of our new little-one-to-be here are some amazing baby things from Quilt Baby
I think these blankets are so pretty and look so soft. I especially like the one with birds. (what is it with me and birds?!)

If I had to wear onesies I would want cute ones like this.

Seriously, I need a sewing machine so I can attempt to make some of these beautiful bibs. Oh and I have a new found love of the color orange.

Boden

A while ago my friend M. introduced me to MiniBoden. The other day I was looking at the page and realized they had grown-up clothes too. I am so excited. Boden USA has such great stuff. Check this out.

I love coats. They can change an outfit complete and also extend your summer clothes into fall. This one is such a great color.

This dress makes me crazy. I love it. We have a wedding to attend in January and this would be perfect with dark tights and great color heels.

Such a cute everyday skirt. I wear thick tights under skirts all year. What a great color too.
I think that is a picture of Hudson on a sweater. Hilarious.
Their men's line is great also. My hubby would look so nice in the cozy sweater.

As I mentioned I originally was introduced to the kids clothes that I instantly feel in love with and here's why.
