Happy Anniversary

Seven years ago today I walked down the aisle to meet the love of my life at the altar. These seven years have been mre than we expected. Some great joys and greater sorrows than we could have imagined. Through it all I am so blessed to have walked hand in hand with this amazing man. We said no gifts but I awoke to this little beauty (sorry for the bad photo I took it with my phone). He suprises me so often and I am so grateful.

My love I would not want to spend this life with anyone else. Thank you for taking such amazing care of me and being a better husband that I could ever ask for. You, I love.

Ornament Exchange

Pampering You is hosting a blogger ornament exchange. Stop by and sign up. She will then link everyone with someone to send an ornament to. The ornament can be handmade or bought and should cost less than $10. Sounds like fun to me. I need to get inspired for my ornaments to sell on etsy so this should be me thinking.

Maybe

In my craft obsessed mind, I see things and think "I could do that". Whenever I would think that in the past that would be it. I would think it but never act on it. But more recently if I've seen something and thought I could do that I've given it a try. It's been quite an adventure. I started my etsy site because of this. My newest "I can do that" moment involved embroidery. I want to teach myself and found a fun site called Sublime Stitching to help me get started. It says it "ain't your gramma's embroidery" but in my case that would be bad because my grandma is an amazing embroiderer (or is it cross stitch?!) Anyway, she produces amazing pieces of art and I love them. She's what got me thinking "I can do that" (thanks Marmie).

I would love to add these cuties to a bib or pillow case for a kid.

I want this for the little blue bird in the corner. I would put him on everything.
They even have cool starter kits.

I definitely want to order one of these.

3 in one day

Last post for today. Just had to share this. Look at this amazing bird feeder

I want it for outside my kitchen window. Love it. (found on Wheredidyoubuythat.com)

Recycle, Reclaim, Reuse

Here are some beautiful items that are either recycled, reclaimed or reused from Viva Terra
This clock would be the perfect present for my mom. She loves these colors the most and she loves the beach. What could be better than a reclaimed boat wood clock?

I love the sound of windchimes. These temple bells would be perfect hanging in the trees in my yard.

Old cans made into trash cans.

Recycled Barn wood and slate bin

Hunting

I'm up late again (or is it as always?!) and decided to go owl hunting (on etsy). Thought it was time to expand my love of birds to include lovely little owls. Here are just a few. By the way I could spend forever exploring etsy and never grow tired or it.

Rearranging

Today I did some arranging, rearranging, organizing and such. Thanks to my friend C for helping me with it. I have been talking about making a craft room for myself. Since we live in what was formerly a one room house that has been added onto time and again we have an odd room on our first floor. It's a great room, in fact it is one of the reasons I fell for this house. It is small and cozy. I painted 3 walls red and left one unpainted because it is very old wood (former exterior wall of the house). It has a large door opening on one side, a old wood door on the other and the stairs end in it. Up until now it hasn't been used much at all. It did house our TV for a while, then the dog crate then just a couch, rug and lamp. Very sad. Now it is my craft heaven. Oh and we now have a couch in the dining room. Oh well. I will post pictures when it is done. We still need to move the desk from the attic (hubby is still on crutches so I will need to recruit some brothers to help) and set up the computer in there. But I am so super excited. It's the little things, right?! Now I need some organizers and I found some great ones on See Jane Work.

Perfect place to put mail and bills! Maybe it will make the bill paying a bit more enjoyable. Maybe not.

Pretty little accordian folder
I've always wanted these to hang beside my desk.
Not something I "need" but way to cute to pass up.

Cute magnet boards to hang my inspirations on.

I am so, so excited about my craft room.
