Yummy

I want this dress for spring.

My obsession

I have a shoe obsession. I need to go to shoe-lovers anonymous. But I at least try to buy less expensive shoe so I can feed the addiction without breaking the bank. Target has their spring shoes out right now and there are some really great ones I want. I think every single women should own at least one pair of shoes that is a bright color (green, yellow, orange, red, blue, purple). There is just something about slipping on a bright colored shoe that makes a whole outfit look amazing.

Green shoes for only 19.99. If you are afraid of a heel start with a wedge. It is so much easier to talk in.

Yellow sandle for 24.99. Gladiator sandles are big this year. I would wear them with a cute dress or skirt.
Everyday brown flats for 29.99. These are adorable and so much better than the hot pink crocs I tend to slip on for errand running.
I bought a watermelon colored dress and these pewter heels would be with PERFECT with it (for 29.99)
These would also work with my watermelon dress. I think they are so lovely and the cheapest of the group at 17.49

Hey you only live once. Why not be brave and throw on some crazy shoes?

Absent

I feel like I have been missing in action for a few days. Not sure why I didn't blog on Wednesday but I've had the stomach flu since and feel like today is the first day I want to sit up for any amount of time (and think). I haven't had the flu in years and I forgot how much it knocks me out. When I'm sick I like to read instead of TV because then I don't get a headache on top of whatever illness I already have. I am lucky enough to work for a women who reads tons of great books and so I can borrow anytime I want. Here are a few of the titles I've read this month. Keep in mind I am one of those people who finishes every book I open regardless of if I like it or not. I always think it has to get better. So some books I can read in a day, some take up to a month and I will read other books at the same time.

Loved this book and finished it in 2 days.

Most of the way through this book. Very good. Not about an easy subject but I enjoyed it.

This book took over a month. In the end I was dissappointed. Oh well.

Read almost this whole book yesterday. I am enjoying it so far.

I'm not telling you what to read. I'm saying just sharing one of the things I love. I have read 3 or 4 other books this month as well. Just can't remember all the titles right now. Have a good weekend.

Toast

Not sure where I stumbled across this site but it is a great British clothing/home site. The post after this one is all about this clothes and this one is all about their home line. Look at all the great things Toast has.

I have way to many glasses but I still want these
This may not be that exciting to you but to me this is amazing. I am always sweeping up after my messy bulldog and hate getting on my hands and knees to use the dust pan (which usually takes 10 minutes to find). This seems like a pretty and practical solution.

My mom collects pottery coffee cups. I want to add this to her collection and use it every time I visit.

Lovely pillow would look great in my bedroom

Read on to the next post to see a selection of their clothes

Uk clothes

I really enjoyed browsing Toast's spring clothing line. Here are a few of my favorites.

I can see myself wearing this all summer long (since I never wear shorts but always wear skirts) Love the little double layer at the bottom

I am always on the look out for the perfect, crisp white shirt.

I don't have navy heels (notice I didn't say I don't have navy shoes....) and I love these.

Someday I will find the perfect suit and buy 10 of them so I never have to suit shop again. Maybe this is it.

I just got a watermelon colored dress and now seem to be drawn to them everywhere. Isn't this so sweet?!

BIlls

Paying bills is one of my least favorite chores (who likes it really) I like the organization and all but it's just tedious. But I think it would be a little more fun if I had some of Letter Girls rubber stamps to decorate the envelopes with.

Quick and easy way to make plan paper seem like custom stationary

So much better than writing my address over and over and over and...

I can't decide which is my favorite

This one has stars...I'm a sucker for stars
Quite a few of the options are "self-inking" which means it's pretty much foolproof.

Happy Monday

TGIF

It's been a long cold week. I am more than ready extra sleep and relaxation. To celebrate the week ending I thought some cookies would be nice. Look at the cookies from Eleni's New York and tell me those don't make you want to celebrate (even if it is just celebrating a weekend!)

In honor of the Oscars (which are on Sunday) they are offering best actress and actor cookies.

These would be a perfect party favor

Almost too pretty to eat...notice I said almost. Do you think they taste as good as they look?

These would be perfect for an almost teenage girls birthday.
Happy weekend everyone.

For my sister

This post is mainly for my sweet little sister (so we're not blood related but we've always felt like sisters since neither of us have any "real" sisters). She takes pictures and gets paid to do it (it's like she's a grown up!!) and I thought she would enjoy the work of Vincent Bousser. I had so much fun trying to decide which ones to share with you. Aren't they so creative?

Crossing a field (or a sweater)

At the beach in a compact. I love how realistic the people are.

This is the first photo of the series I saw and I knew I wanted to find more.

Cleaning a lovely stamp. I want the stamp for myself.

I love all the of the painter ones (there are a few of them painting flowers and butterflies) but this one had to be posted because it is toile and it is rugby!

Due to the snow....

It is bitter cold, I have a cold and today I am ready for winter to be over. Not saying I won't be loving the snow next week but for now I am wanting to sit in the sun, on the grass and read a good book. Calypso will have to provide my attire for that warm spring day.

This color is called alligator which I think is great. Doesnt' it look comfortable? I love dresses

All of my dresses are solid colors. I think this year I need to branch out and get some patterns

For all my non-dress loving friends here is a super cute spring top.

Ruffles

Ruffles are very "in" this spring. They are showing up on everything. I personally love them (much to the dismay of my friend C who makes fun of me for every overly girlie shirt I try on) I say what's wrong with being super girlie? I enjoy it very much. Here are some of the ruffle options J.Crew is showing for spring.

This is the easiest way to do the ruffle without feeling over the top. This color is on sale for 9.99 too

Adorable. I have a cute cardigan that I want this to go under it.

This is great and it comes in such amazing colors.

Slight variation on the ruffles (technically it might not even be a ruffle but I still really like it.)

Inspiration

This lovely burlap bag arrived in the mail last week. I am so excited to make pillows from it. No they won't be the softest pillows of all time but I will either make one large floor pillow for movie watching or cut it up and make 2 smaller pillows for our couch. Either way I can't wait to start working on it.

Lovey- Dovey

Just wanted to say Happy Valentine's to all of you. Hopefully you are sharing it with people you love. I recieved some Norman Love Chocolates from my boss and they are AMAZING. Almost too pretty to eat

They come in a pretty green box with a brown ribbon. What a great gift. If you want to send chocolates this is the way to go.

How-to

My friend N. sent me the link to this website and it is way to good not to share. It is called Cut Out + Keep and features step- by- step How-to's for all kinds of crafts. What a fun idea. You can get great crafty ideas or share a few of your own. I would love to try the quite a few of these.

What a cute thing for a kids party and a great way to get them to eat olives and carrots.

This headband I may attempt today so I can wear it to a party this weekend.

I love maps and am all ways looking for a great way to use them. Check out these cute scrabble tile magnets

Who's IPod doesn't need a warm little pouch?
There are so so so many ideas on this page. Look through and find something cool to make yourself or to make with your kids. Thanks for the find N!

Urban Outfitters

Today is Urban Outfitter day and instead of focusing on their clothes I'm going to focus on their apartment page only. Have fun browsing the next 4 posts.

They have a special section dedicated just to Valentine's day. Here are my favorites. I love the idea of sweet little gifts for your closest girlfriends. These fit the bill perfectly and aren't bank breakers.

For your girlfriend who loves a little glitter (that would be me) this cute giant "diamond" key chain

For your artistic girlfriend. Cutie, kissing birds art

For your baker girlfriends heart shaped measuring spoons.

For the man in your life a wooden Valentine's card.

For your domestic girlfriend, lovely pillowcases.
